About the PAC
The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) works with the school to support educational, community, and fundraising activities. Getting involved in PAC activities is a great way to get to know other parents and families in the school community.

What kind of activities are run by the PAC?
Food Programs:
- PAC Hot Lunch
The PAC organizes regular Hot Lunches and Special Treat Days, which provide children with healthy, exciting lunches while also raising funds that go directly back to Blakeburn. Parents pre-order lunches from companies that we partner with like Quizno’s, McDonalds and Boston Pizza as well as treats for special days, which are delivered directly to their child’s classroom.
- What about "Lunch Lady"?
Lunch Lady is an independently run lunch delivery program that provides lunches on Wednesdays to students who have pre-ordered on their website This lunch program is not related to the school or PAC and does not raise funds for the school.
- Why does my child bring home fruit I didn't pack?
Your child is most likely bringing home fruit or veggies they received from the province-wide program called the BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutrition Program. It aims to encourage healthy eating by providing free, fresh BC fruits and vegetables to the students during classroom time, every couple of weeks. This program is not a PAC initiative, but parent volunteers help to coordinate and distribute the produce to the classrooms.
See the Hot Lunch, Pizza & Special Treats page for full information about food programs.

The PAC holds several activities which raise funds to support our school, including:
