Who?Every parent or guardian of a child in Blakeburn is a member of the PAC, and is thus invited to attend these meetings, to vote, and to participate in policy and spending decisions.
What?At our general meetings, we first approve the agenda and the minutes from the previous meeting. The PAC President and Principal then deliver reports that includes special notices to parents, feedback from past events, representations from the teaching staff, and information on future plans that involve school parents. Finally, each of the executive members report back on their respective portfolios. Discussions, suggestions and feedback are encouraged throughout the meeting.
A PAC meeting is NOT a forum for the discussion of individual school personnel, students, parents, or other individual members of the school community. When? The meeting starts at 6:30pm and officially ends at 8pm. Extensions of meeting time is prearranged by agenda, or extended at the meeting my majority vote.
