​We are very excited to once again be offering some Hot Lunch options, albeit in a limited capacity this year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. 

The Hot Lunch program will currently only be offered by "The Lunch Lady" and can be ordered online through the Munch a Lunch program (information below, to the right)

The regular PAC Hot Lunch program is unfortunately currently suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The PAC is offering our popular Hot Lunch to the students at Blakeburn. Hot Lunch and Special Treat Days & Pizza Days are offered through the year and done by pre-order through Munchalunch.

MunchaLunch 

Hot lunches are ordered on a quarterly basis via MunchaLunch, our online ordering system.

Need access to a computer? Paper order forms are not accepted. If you don’t have access to a computer or are having problems ordering, we would be more than happy to assist you in the school library before or after school.

First time using Munchalunch? Follow these instructions to register:
  1. Go to: https://munchalunch.com/schools/blakeburn/
  2. Choose "register here". The system will guide you through
  3. After adding your child(ren), click the green “Order Lunch” button to order
  4. Next time, just click the “Login Here” button to access your account
 
Helpful Tips for Online Ordering
  • Use the search engine" Explorer, Safari, Firefox or Chrome
  • Do not use an ipad or mobile device. Munchalunch is not compatible with these systems and will not allow completion of payment.
  • Ensure your computer allows pop-ups
 
What if my child is absent? 
Please note Munchalunch will send reminder by email the day before each event.  If your child is absent on a lunch date, you are welcome to come and pick up their lunch, but we cannot keep the food for them the next day.  There are NO REFUNDS.

What we do

There are several food-related programs running at our school. 

PAC Programs
The PAC organizes monthly Hot Lunches and Treat Days, which provide children with healthy, exciting lunches while also raising funds that go directly back to Blakeburn.

  • Hot lunch is a monthly program where parents can order a lunch for their children that will be delivered to them in the classroom. We partner with companies like Subway and Boston Pizza to provide kids with exciting meals that are within the nutritional guidelines laid out by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health. Orders are taken for these lunches on a quarterly basis using an online ordering system called Munchalunch, which allows parents to place orders, print menus, and pay by credit card from the comfort of home.
  • Special treat days happen from time to time and parents can also use the Munchalunch system to pre-order these for their children. 


Non-PAC Programs
  • Lunch Lady is an independently run lunch delivery program that provides lunches on Wednesdays to students who have pre-ordered on their website. This lunch program is not related to the school or PAC. 
  • BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutrition Program. Our school is involved in a province-wide healthy living initiative. One of the goals is to encourage healthy eating by providing fresh B.C. fruits and vegetables to the students during classroom time, every couple of weeks. The students will receive picked, washed and ready to enjoy produce, at no cost to the school or parents. This program is not a PAC initiative, but parent volunteers help to coordinate and distribute the produce to the classrooms.   

What you can do

Hot lunches and special treat days are ordered on a quarterly basis via MunchaLunch, our online ordering system.  You can check your existing order by logging into your account below. If you haven't yet registered your family account, please do so so that you are ready when the next ordering period opens up.
