PAC Donations (family contribution)
This year, more than ever and due to restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, many if not all programs offered and paid for by the PAC will rely on the contribution from the parents/families of our Blakeburn students.
We are currently unable to run programs such as Hot Lunch and other fundraising initiatives, of which many classroom activities rely on funding from.
We ask the parents, families and friends of the Blakeburn community to please give thoughtful and serious consideration to donating to the Blakeburn PAC as described below in "What Can You Do"

What we do
In order to minimize the number of fundraising activities and the burden on parents during the year, we offer parents the opportunity to make a once-off contribution at the beginning of the school year in the form of an activity fee. This activity fee is used directly in sponsoring the many curriculum-enhancement activities that we have planned for the year. We ask for a donation of $35 per student, or $70 per family. Donations of more than this amount are also gladly accepted.
What you can do
The Blakeburn Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is once again planning to sponsor many valuable curriculum-enhancing activities. Some of these include cultural performances, live musical performances and field trip funds. We are also planning to provide financial assistance in order to obtain math games and hands-on materials, reading materials and technology upgrades. We are very committed to ensuring all students have access to a wide variety of activities throughout the year that will enrich their learning experience.
To help support this, the PAC Activity Fee Program asks families to make a donation near the beginning of the school year. The suggested fee is $35.00 per student or $70.00 per family. This year we again are able to offer TAX RECEIPTS. Receipts will be issued for amounts of $25.00 or more. Donor’s name and address must be complete and legible. Online payments are available on KEV or you can make cheques payable to Blakeburn Elementary.
The many activities we’ve come to expect for our children would not be possible without the incredible generosity of our parent community. Provincial funding for these activities simply does not exist, so your continued support of our fundraising efforts is both greatly appreciated and essential.
