November 2021

We are already over 2 months into this school year, and while so much has been accomplished, we had some major technical difficulties that has taken much too long to get this communication active again!  We are happy to say that our website and emails are back up-and-running, and we are looking forward to re-establishing the connections that have been so challenged during this Covid-19 pandemic.

To start... WELCOME! The 2021-2022 PAC Executive would like to welcome both returning and new families to this school year, and are excited to
slowly start to rebuild the events, experiences and programs that make Blakeburn such a wonderful community!

Our main form of communication throughout the school year will be via the school newsletter, so please pay attention to that when it comes. We also utilize this PAC webpage which contains a lot of helpful, ongoing and relevant information. We encourage you to check it often and share it with other parents.  The PAC also has a a group Facebook page, although it is important to remember that not all families utilize Facebook, and thus it is not our main form of communication.

The PAC itself has had some very challenging and untraditional months since the start of this pandemic back in March 2020.  We have had to navigate the many covid-19 restrictions, work with a skeleton of volunteers, and manage a very stripped down and uncertain budget.  The PAC Executive for 2021-2022 was elected and we are re-energized and very excited to start to get back to a more "normal" experience for the students, teachers, staff and parent community.

On behalf of your 2021-2022 PAC Executive,

Anita Wilson
PAC President
